The Tesorino farmhouse is a typical "Agriturismo" in the Maremma on the Tuscan coast. It is located between the hills of Massa Marittima, the beaches of Follonica and the historical villages of Castiglione della Pescaia and Scarlino. The estate covers an area of 50 hectares and is set on a panoramic hill, where the view reaches through olive groves, holm oaks all the way to the sea.
Built in the nineteenth century, the farm served as a meeting point for the local inhabitants. The great holm oak that still dominates the property welcomed these gatherings of many generations under its impressive branches. The estate was also crossed by the railroad Massa-Follonica, which transported mining materials from the inland to the coast until 1944.
In the ‘70s, when the manor house was completely abandoned and at risk of collapsing, our family decided to put new life into the property and to restore the farm. The results have given great satisfaction and it was a matter of course to welcome tourists and to establish one of the first agriturismos in the area.
If you’re looking for a place far away from urban chaos where you can unwind in the green nature, surrounded by typical Tuscan scents... Tesorino is the place to be. The Neri family welcomes you in the Maremma.
